Sakigake!! Otokojuku Shippuu Ichi Gou Sei is a beat 'em up game based on Sakigake!! Otokojuku manga released in 1989 exclusively for Nintendo Entertainment System.
Overview[]
The game is a beat 'em up sidescroller. You can choose to play as Momotaro, Toramaru, J or Togashi, unlocking new characters for use as you progress. The game also has a "cheer up Otokojuku squad" system, using it as a boost/power up mechanism. The game starts at Otokojuku grounds and go up to Tendo Shrine battle, following the The Four Great Trials of Terror up to The Great Trembling Conquest of the Unified Eight arc, just like the anime. The game transform into a 1-on-1 battle during boss battles.

- This game was fan translated in english and other languages
- This game is more based on the anime adaptation by Toei.
- Like the anime, the game goes only up to The Great Trembling Conquest of the Unified Eight, besides The Great Heaven-Challenging Olympic Tournament arc already being released
- This game was developed by TOSE, the same studio who developed the Dragon Ball NES RPG games and Super Butoden series.
- The game main theme is a NES chiptune version of the anime opening Yogorecchimatta Kanashimi Ni. The first battle was also a edited version of Kanashimi Ni.
