Personality[]

Solemn and serious, the Pharaoh is presented as a dangerous and intelligent adversary. He has an aura of dignity and respect that makes his followers capable of committing suicide by failing them.

But...after joining Otokojuku during The Seven Tusk Arc, all that aura of respect and solemnity is completely lost, becoming little more than a buffoon, and acting as comic relief alongside Bo Feng. Despite this, he continues to show himself as a powerful adversary.

Powers and Abilities[]

Techniques[]

Reincarnation of Horemheb (永劫の輪廻核惺, Horemheb no Rinne Kakusei): When Pharaoh first appears, he appears to be emitting a bright light. In addition, he does not die even when cut in two, but divides continuously. However, these images of Pharaoh are actually the product of well-trained Welding Light Fireflies.

Morning Star of Ishtar (イシュタールの暁星, Ishtar no Gyosei): Pharaoh can move his earlobes even better than his arms and legs, and attaches crescent-moon blades at the end of a rope to the ends of his earlobes. This allows him to attack free of his hands.

Agony of Oedipus (オイディプスの煩悶, Oedipus no Hanmon): Pharaoh produces a small ball made of a high-density alloy called Cannon Noise Steel weighing 200kg, and ties it to one end of a rope, and the other around his opponent's neck. He uses a seesaw to launch the ball over a rope above them, and forces his opponent to catch the ball. If they let go of the ball, the rope will hang them. While his opponent is preoccupied, Pharaoh uses a torture device called a Tosca, which bores down to the bare nerves, to torment his opponent.

Dance of Cleopatra (クレオパトラの舞い, Cleopatra no Mai): A traditional dance passed down through the generations of Pharaohs. While Pharaoh himself claims that it will extend the lives of those who witness it by a thousand days, the Otokojuku students are repulsed by it and say it shortened their lives by a thousand days.

History[]

The Great Heaven-Challenging Olympic Tournament[]

Pharaoh led Pharaoh Sphinx during the Daibukai, managing to defeat all their adversaries until they had to face Otokojuku.

While Pharaoh rested on his golden sarcophagus, Anubis took it upon himself to lead the first warriors to face Otokojuku...warriors who were defeated by their adversaries. Seeing that they were powerful enemies, he sent his personal bodyguards: Seti and Horus. Sadly, they too were defeated by Otokojuku. Finally, Anubis tried to face the leader of the rival team, but was defeated. Seeing that no other Pharaoh Sphinx warrior could stand up to them, he decided to take care of them personally. Before his subordinates lowered his sarcophagus into the battle arena, a solar eclipse took place, causing everything to go dark.

Once his henchmen lowered his sarcophagus, Pharaoh used his Horemheb no Rinne Kakusei technique to make a swarm of fireflies form a luminous body in the image of a pharaoh. His adversary, the leader of Otokojuku, Tsurugi Momotaro, managed to discover the secret of his technique, managing to undo all the copies that the fireflies had created. Seeing that this was a worthy foe, Pharaoh emerged from his sarcophagus, ready to face Momotaro hand to hand.

Once outside the sarcophagus, the eclipse ended. His minions set up a pair of gadgets that would come in handy later, and once they were withdrawn, Pharaoh charged with his Ishtar no Gyosei. Managing to wound Momotaro, quickly dodging his attacks, Pharaoh hung on the rope that was still stretched between the two cliffs to attack Momotaro from the air. Despite this, Momotaro managed to hit him square in the face...but his sword exploded into pieces when it hit the gem on his forehead.

Pharaoh took advantage of the moment to wrap a rope around Momotaro's neck, tying the other end to a heavy 200kg sphere, throwing it into the air with a seesaw. To avoid being hanged by that technique, Momo had to hold that heavy sphere, which left Pharaoh free to attack. Seeming to be the end, Pharaoh noticed a small bag that Momotaro had (which he had received from Daigouin Jaki before his fight with Anubis).

Upon checking its contents, Pharaoh did not know what it was really about, and upon showing it to Momotaro, his strength returned to him. Using the small knife thrown near his feet, he threw it against Pharaoh's forehead, bouncing off his gem and impacting the rope, cutting it and freeing Momotaro. As soon as he freed himself from that sphere, he threw it on a surprised Pharaoh, who could not avoid it and ended up hitting his face, knocking him out.

It turned out that that bag had a photo of the main one, Edajima Heichachi, and that was Momotaro's motivation to win.

But before they could celebrate their victory, the ground where they stood began to crack, beginning to sink into the lava. To avoid dying, Pharaoh advised Momotaro to use the seesaw to escape. But instead of scattering and leaving him behind, Momotaro carried him behind his back, and with the sphere as a counterweight, he managed to escape from the ground, while it collapsed.

Pleased to have been saved, Pharaoh bestowed Momotaro with his gem, and vowed to pray for his victory on the Daibukai.

The Battle of Seven Tusks []

Pharaoh was one of the Daibukai warriors who enlisted in Otokojuku, joining the team led by Momotaro to participate in the Seven Tusk trials. In the party before leaving, he dance the Cleopatra no Mai, a traditional dance passed down through the generations of pharaohs. Pharaoh claims that it will extend the lives of those who witness it by a thousand days, but the Otokojuku students, repulsed by it, say it shortened their lives by a thousand days.

Pharaoh was selected to enter the Second Tusk. There he made a fool of himself a couple of times, like almost falling into a lava pit or letting a monkey pee in his mouth. Despite these stupid things, Pharaoh was serious about fighting his rival: Herber.

He had to face him in a thick mud lake, with a series of spheres floating in it. There Herber, with his Tekki chuudan, managed to get ahead of him. Despite using his Ishtar no Gyosei, Herber managed to wound him and throw him into the mud lake, causing Pharaoh to slowly sink into it...

Herber went to claim Pharaoh's gem as a trophy for his victory...only to be caught by Pharaoh himself, who threw him head first into the mud lake.

After that battle, Pharaoh would be relieved alongside Bo Feng to mere comic relief. He remained with the group until they had to split into three different teams. Afterwards, he was present during Todo Hyoei's arrest.

Fu'un Rakanjuku[]

After the Seven Tusk matches, it seemed that the Otokojuku students could rest in peace...at least, until Kumada Kinzo, Edajima's old rival, showed up and challenged the principal to participate in the Go Konsen.

Pharaoh was present during the selection of challenges for the Go Konsen between Otokojuku and Fu'un Rakanjuku, being present during the confrontation of Toramaru and Hidemaro against the Hanada Brothers. After the graduation ceremony, he went out together with Momotaro and his friends, happy to have graduated.
