Descending Dragon, Ascending Thunder is one of the two hidden secret techniques of Shen-Quan Temple, the other one being Rising Dragon Meets Heaven's Lighting, it is also the signature technique of Wang Ta-ren.
Description[]
The technique involves the user taking a staff or any other similarily shaped weapon, such as a spear or a halbred, and spinning around overhead at such speeds that it causes the user to take flight like a human helicopter. This technique is said to require an amazing amount of wrist strength and sense of balance.
Wang Ta-ren's use for this technique goes far beyond just using it to fly around, as when fighting Hong Shen-long, who can create wormholes with his will, Wang used his own will and combined it with this technique to blow away the wormholes Hong created.
History[]
This technique was invented by a hermit who lived on Mt. Jindou who went by the name of Hei-li Kop, who descending from the mountain and showed himself to the people living nearby every four years, which is the meaing behind the "Descending Dragon" half of this techniques name. Incidentally, the origin of the English word "Helicopter" is said to have originated from Hei-li Kop's name.
