SAKIGAKE ! ! Otokojuku is the anime movie based on Sakigake!! Otokojuku produced by Toei Animation, directed by Tetsuo Imazawa and released on 1988. The soundtrack has composed by Ichiro Nitta and Minoru Yamazaki. The ending and image song COOL EYES/FOREVER has composed by Minoru Yamazaki and Eiji Nishiki and performed by the japanese band BYAKKOTAI.
Summary[]
The previous year's winner, Otokojuku, was invited to represent Japan in the "Big Battle August" world fighting championship, which takes place in America once every few years. Otokojuku's head, Edajima Heihachi, instead of the third-year students, selects Tsurugi Momotaro, Togashi Genji, J, Toramaru Ryuji, Tazawa Ippei, Matsuo Taio, Gokukoji Hidemaro, and Tsubakiyama Kiyomi from the first-year and sends them to the tournament. In order to win, they must overcome the six major checkpoints while competing with fighting professionals from all over the world.
Plot[]
A team of First Year students led by Momotaro Tsurugi journey to America to compete in a tournament known as Great Battle August, adjudicated by a priest. Following an elimination round, 4 of the Otokojuku must fight 1 on 1 matches with members of the American team 3S; B.J. Bruce, Sir Royal the 3rd, Big Morgan and Bronco Sanders. The Otokojuku eventually win the match.
